Do you think this limo idea is possible? LIMO BUS

It's cheaper for me if I book a 32 passenger luxury limo bus from 1:30 pm - 12:30 am for my wedding than it is to book one from 1:30 pm - 6:00 pm and then a "shuttle" for my guests at 6:00 pm and then back at 11:30 pm.

So, my question is...

Do you think it's possible for me to get dropped off at the Floral Terrace at 5:45 (which is when I want to) and then have the bus double back to the Wingate Garden City (15 minute drive) in order to get guests back before 6:30? Do you think that would be "chancing it"?

What do you think?

I know I shouldn't be here but I thought I would help I think it is cutting it too close. The odds of you making it there at 5:45 pm maybe could not happen and then your guests we end up being late. Most things can run a little behind on the day of.

the only thing i am thinking is that after church is done at 4...i have no where to go till the reception starts at 6:30. It's cold, I'm taking pics at the reception site..... so what else am i going to do????

I am so tired to and I don't think I am understanding

If your church is over at 4 and you go right to the Floral Terrace and take pics then the bus definetly has time to go get your guests.

I'm going to see if I can get a really good deal.

When I am asking soley about shuttles...these limo companies are like "well, it's so much money because you are taking my whole night away..." so if i only use one luxury bus and just utlize it all night long, it calculates to be cheaper....

I know. We had a Coach Bus for our guests and it was so hard to find a great deal.

I got the same song and dance about taking there whole night away. Blah Blah Blah

Alright, I don't think you would be chancing anything...I see you say that you are going to be done with church by 4...You can go straight to FT if you want & get some pictures done...Or if it is nice out, go to the Garden City Gazebo to take pictures (this is our plan)

If it is cheaper to rent the bus for all that time, go for it...Remember that is more $$ in your pocket for something else Plus, chances are, you will be dropped off at FT prior to the 5:45 & if your guests that are staying at Wingate are 10 minutes late, it doesn't matter!!! You will still have other guests there...I would also think the bus will be able to hold everyone at the hotel??

i think its cutting it a little close...i HATE to say that b/c i am in the same boat..but i know i am VERY worried about that for my own wedding

You'd be cutting it very close. It is definitely possible for that trip to take much more than 20 minutes (possibly even 40) on a busy traffic day with mall traffic and everything else, even while taking the back streets.

i think if i do it, then i need to commit myself from going from the church at 4 pm straight to the reception hall --- that way, the bus could be back at the wingate early. They wouldn't need to leave there till 6 the latest....

I am doing the limo bus as well but not having the limo bus go anywhere except where FH is getting ready then to the church then to me after church then we will go straight to CH we will be there about an hour early depending on traffic but figured we can get mosto f the pictures out of the way I was thinking of going someplace first to get pictures done but then thoguht I am having a friday wedding and traveling from queens to LI and the rush hour traffic it would be best to go straight to the CH
