I am sooo mad with my RE agent!!!

I hate dealing with her! She has both the sale of my co-op and our purchase of the house and she is messing up on everything.

She just emailed me to say that they can't find comparative values for my co-op to show the assessor from my purchaser's mortgage company and that he has told them that he could get them from my management company, but they would charge him a fee of $100. What the he$$! How does he happen to know that information about my particular management company? A 1-bedroom apt hasn't sold in my development for a long time, but he should be familiar with the market. That's what I'm paying my RE agent 4% for! Don't RE agents have access to recent sales records etc.?

I feel like the assessor's looking for money to grease his palm, so that he will approve the sales price. As a matter of fact, after seeing what other co-op's are going for I think mine wasn't priced high enough

Banks often will require sales in the SAME development. So if there haven't been any sales, I can see why he may be having a problem.

The RE should have access to recent sales, but she may not have all the data that an appraiser would have. We have other sources in addition to MLS. Where's your co-op? I can try looking for comps for you if you're on LI.

BTW. I thought the appraiser and assessor was the same thing. I guess it's the appraiser.
