HELP!!! (LONG VENT) rp from bhb***UPDATED***

Hey Girls-
so we changed our minds about having the wedding at my parent's upstate ( would have been awesome- they have 11 acres, etc...BUT $130 pp just for food and rentals- too much $ for us)

we deicded we love the thayer hotel at west point.

THEY ARE BOOKED FOR AUG 26!!!

FH says, do whatever you want, change the date if you want... (i really don't want to make that decision on my own, but it is a very busy time for him and he works 70 hrs a week to begin with...)

My photographer only has august 5 open in that month...

WHAT DO I DO??

UPDATED : We changed the date to Saturday September 2nd- YAY!! VEry excited

move it to 8/5 then. Thats only three weeks earlier than you had it originally.

Wow it looks like a mid evil castle!! I say change the date if you want it there.... a date is just a date after all. I had to change mine and it really wasn't a big deal. I would much rather get the place that I want.

If you like it and moving the date is not a problem, then do it.

the same thing happened to me. i had my heart set on getting married at the Picnic House in Prospect Park, bKLYN. set, that is, until I realized it would be at least $140 pp- no way I could afford it.

then I went to westbury Manor, which I loved, but the date I chose was booked already (4/29)...so, I changed my date.

at this early stage, changing the date is no biggie...you'll find that in time you'll be just as attached to your "new" date- because after all, it's marrying your honey that makes the day special.

I would definitely say to change the date to the three weeks earlier. That's not so bad. By the way, the place looks beautiful. Good luck to you in making your decision!!

I would change the date to the 5th, that way you've already got the photographer you like which is really important no matter where or when you have it.

I would change the date. It's not that much earlier. If it will make you happy. Then go for it! Good Luck!
