Just wanted to know if anyone getting married there knows how far in advance we should go to the tastings and decide on our menu. Thanks.

Yes! 7-15-01. We're probably going around February or March for a tasting. Have you met with the baker yet?

If your veil is going to be attached to your head with a comb and/or many bobbypins, I suggest you have the hairdresser do it. You can just put it over your arm until you are ready.

I haven't yet but I heard the cakes are fantastic. When I was over there last I bumped into someone who had just done the tasting and she said the cake was unbelievable. Since my wedding is not until 9-16-01, I guess I have some time. Let me know please after you have gone!

We're getting married August 4, 2001 and went to a tasting right after we booked the date. The food was amazing!! Who is everyone using for their florist. I received a letter from Sugar Magnolia's that's right near by but haven't gone in to meet them yet.

I never even went to a tasting after booking because I heard such good things about the food that I wasn't worried. I got the same letter from Sugar Magnolias and it was so nicely written I wanted to go see her stuff but my FI and his family have been using North Shore Floral for so many years so we are sticking with them. Are you having a band or DJ?

I am getting married at Flowerfield February 17, 2001.

Everything about Flowerfield is fantastic. The food, the bridal suite, the banquet room.

We went to the tasting a few months ago and we were amazed at how incredible the food was.

Our wedding is Feb 17, 2001 at Flowerfield.

We are using James Cress Florist. They are a bit more expensive, but well worth it. Of all the florists I looked at, they were definately the best. They work very closely with Flowerfield. they were actually the ones who put up the white tulle above the dancefloor.

We are using Spin Around Sound as our DJ. I actually found him through this site. he was strongly recommended. He is not the type of DJ who comes running out onto the dancefloor, bugging the guests. I wanted a DJ who concntrates on the music, and only comes out, when needed.

My MOH purchased her dress at the Bridal Garden. I even went there to look at dresses, but was unable to find a style I liked. Well at this point in time I wouldn't recommend the Bridal Garden to an enemy. My MOH's grandmother died 2 weeks ago. She recieved the news the same night as her appt for her fitting. In all the confusion she forgot about the appt. Well when she got home from the funeral, her mother called her and said ther is a nasty message on the machine, from the Bridal Garden. When she callled to explain what happened all they cared about was the fact that she had missed her appt. They never even said they were sorry for her loss. We went last week for her final fitting and while I waited I looked for a MOH dress for her, we (the owner and the shop girl) got into a discussion about my wedding dress. When they became privy to the fact that I hd purchased my gown in the city, they spent 10 minutes ripping me apart becuase I didin't buy it there. I was so angry. It was unreal. If they weren't still in possession of my MOH's wedding to make the bustle I would have told them where to go. Sorry this is so long... but use them with caution!!!

I got married at Flowerfield in OCT 2000. Everything was phenomenal, the food, the service, and everyone was very happy. Florinda is a sweetheart, never runs out of patience with us crazy brides that call twice an hour sometimes ! She was a pleasure to work with.

I know this is an old thread, but I was just so excited to find fellow Flowerfield brides! My wedding is July 6th of this year, and I am so excited to be having it at Flowerfield. I attended a food tasting prior to booking, and the food was phenomenal! I highly recommend the Chilean Sea Bass.
We are using James Cress for our florist, Dancejock for out DJ and video, and Laurie Studio for our photographer.
If anyone has suggestions, tips, or information about ANYTHING at all, please send them my way!

No, we haven't chosen a place for the rehearsal dinner yet. We have a tremendous amount of people to include and are trying to find a place with reasonable prices that can accommodate all of us. Any suggestions? Where are you having yours?
