I always do and it makes me so angry when people don't say TY, especially when it's obviously that you've gone out of your way to hold the door! That's when I say "You're welcome" in my snottiest of voices. It's consoling

I ALWAYS do. Most people say thanks. What KILLS me is when I'm struggling with a pain in the neck stroller and people don't hold the door. RUDE!!!!!

Re: Easy Poll: Do you hold the door open for people?

I do 99% of the time - unless i'm rushing and they're kinda far away, I might pretend I don't see them.

Usually people say thanks though.

I usually do - when people do not say thank you - I usually say very rudely to them, You're welcome.

I do the same thing when I stop the car to let someone cross the street. During the summer, 1/2 of them don't say thank you.

Re: Easy Poll: Do you hold the door open for people?

I always hold the door for people. Most say thank you, and I always get annoyed at those who don't. It's not that I'm looking for gratitude, but both holding the door and saying thank you are common courtesy!
