Can somebody recommend a good car insurance agent ???
Can someone recommend a good car insurance agent/broker?
I want to start calling some car insurance companies and get some quotes on a nice joint policy for myself and FW.
Does anyone know a good broker that actually deals with a few different car insurance companies? If not... i'll just start calling the popular ones directly (State Farm, Geico, AllState, Travellers, Prudential, etc.)
Thanks in advance. FMs will do fine.

I dealt with the Warwick Agency in Lake Success.... they got me a good rate with Allstate when I still lived in NY.
FYI, State Farm will no longer issue new auto policies in NY. They had previous litigation issues.

I use DCAP insurance - they are locations all over the 5 boros and LI.

I currently have Geico.
I don't necessarily have any issues with them... but one of the major things I am going to bring up with any insurance agent is that I am installing a new car stereo system in my TT. Geico's policy on aftermarket stereos and stuff was a little "shady and grey" if you ask me.
But I will definitely call them up again to see what they say.

They were involved in a Class-action lawsuit - not positive on all the details but they were cited for asking body shops to use used parts instead of the new that their insureds were entitled to (and paying for).

I just bought a new car and used CIA insurance agency. He checked out to see who would give us the cheapest rate. FM is you want their number. I have heard really good things about Geico though.

I just called my mom who works for State Farm, she said then can absolutly write new car policies.

We actually take in NEW business and are making it easier to take especially since we just had another auto decrease.

lighthouse insurance is amazing, i searched everywhere for the cheapest rates and lighthouse was the best. theres a few locations, one in westbury on old country road and one in deer park on deer park ave..

ditto on lighthouse insurance, i went everywhere including allstate and they were the cheapest. they are nice in there as well, i go to the one in westbury

I havent gotten a joint policy w/ DH yet though... i have Geico right now... but we got quotes from both of them, and tristate was over $400 less (DH says he thinks it was actually $600 less, but i dont remember the exact numbers right now  )
.. BUT it was for the SAME amount of coverage/ deductibles. no difference.

yeah i forgot to mention that. you have to live less then 15 miles from where you work. a friend at work tried to get this insurance and she was turned down b/c she was .6 miles over the limit. but their rates are low and cs is ok, no complaints.
