Here are some hints on the songs that are still missing...
4. This band's other "hit song" was recently covered by a very popular group with a woman singer.
16. This was one of many hit songs from one of the most popular albums of all time. The singer is currently in a LOT of legal trouble. (I'm surprised that no one has guessed this song yet!)
35. This song was sung by the brother of the singer mentioned in the #16 hit above!
37. This band used to get played on WDRE/WLIR all the time. It's two guys from England. With lots of synthesizers.

And yes, the first one is from Thriller. It's one of the slow songs.
