We did not see a reason for limos, we were married at Flowerfield, and I even got ready there with my bridesmaids. So, there was no point. After the wedding my friends suprised us with a limo to take us to our hotel! It was very nice, but I had shuttles arranged to take everyone to the hotel after the reception. There was no need to pay for limos.

I wasn't going to then a friend of mine who got married last year said I should get a limo for my dress you don't want to get it creased or wrinkled. limos are clean and have room for your dress. Unless you plan on getting dresses there but I'm taking pics of me and my dress at my moms.

No, we are not planning on it.
If you just want one for your dress get a pick up from a limo company.
FH has the limo pick him up for business trips all of the time. $85 each way for the two of you. Much cheaper than renting them for the "day".

Good question, I was thinking of only renting one to pick me and BM up and once they drop us off they go pick up FH and GM. Then that's it I figured it would work with the three hour minimum rule. But I like the idea of renting for one way each but I would worry they are going to show up in a black limo and I definelty want white.

I don't think I am going to use one either, if I do I would just need it for the morning. After the reception we will have a bus to take the guests back to the hotel, and we are going to go on the bus with them.

Thats what we are doing also!
We are only taking pics at the reception hall (even though I would like to go somewhere to take pics)......how did you guys handle that..did you leave to take pics somewhere?

that's a good idea. I don't think we will be able to take pics anywhere else but at CLM since the wedding and reception are there. I would love to be dropped off and then have the limo go pick up FH and the GM. My dress wont fit in our little cars.

We are getting limos because we are getting married at 7 pm and want to do our photos beforehand. We figured we would have the limos pick each of us up at 2:30 and bring us to the site where we will be doing pics, take the pics, and have the limos drop us off at the hall around 5:45.
eta.. we are getting 2 limos because I want the pics of our first "meeting" to be at the arboretum and I do not want FH to see me before that.

We are getting limos because I am getting dressed in Brooklyn. My bridal party will be getting dress in Brooklyn also. We got a total of 4 limos for the bridal party and family

I am getting married at the place where the reception will be, we got a limo to drop us off and pick us up. it's a little over $300, but I thought it was worth it.

We're getting one only because we need it to take pictures around Glen Island and the park--the photographer wants to take pics down at the marina and the castle in the park in addition to at Glen Island. It's not THAT far a walk, but far enough in July and in heels  He actually is the one who recommended that we get a limo to take us around.

ditto, we're getting ready at the location, chapel is there and reception site. we're shuttling guests, so no need...just going to dress up FH's car for the 2 mile drive back to the hotel that night.

I am getting ready at home with my MOH (sis) and since it's just the 2 of us, my mom and my dog, we didnt' really need one, but I wanted to arrive in style  The limo will pick up FH and BM and then come back and get us. Besides, all of the vehicles in our family are smaller cars or pickups, and although it would be a hoot to arrive at my wedding my modified truck, I'd rather have a bit more elegance.
