Did you have to send an invite to someone you don't want at your wedding....
...then had them answer your wish by NOT coming!!!! 
I won't divulge who... but this person is a thorn in my mother's side for longer then I can remember... I hate this person and I'm not exagerating... But I had to send the invite out of respect for my mom. It was the one aspect that has worried me the most and I was afraid there would be major drama on my and FH's day... but then...
WOOHOO!!! She can't come!!!  I'm so happy!!!!! 
I needed to share my excitement.... does anyone else have the same situation?

YES!!! I invited a client because he has bought me hundreds of dollars worth of stuff after we got engaged but then he said no.

I assist two portfolio managers - one is great, the other is a big a** who I've had issues and personality conflicts with. I've even had to open a case with HR regarding his behavior towards me. Although things have improved somewhat, I think I should send him an invitation because I am inviting the other PM. I am also inviting me previous manager with whom I worked with for 5 years until I was transferred to the Portfolio Management Group. FH doesn't want me to invite the a** but I think it would be an obvious snub seeing that I'm inviting the other two. What do you think?

Yes! A guest from FH's side......a family friend of sorts. The lady isn't horrible, but she really rubs me the wrong way. I think it's because she's insincere and kind of fake. Anyway she and her husband declined.

I was torn about inviting a cousin who has caused many family issues....but after she RSVP yes to my sister's bridal shower and wedding....and didnt show to either...I decided NOT to invite her. My grandmother is upset with me....but I am not paying for 2 people NOT to show up with out even a phone call.

I had alot of family I had to invite because my father said so. But a ton of them couldn't come!!! At first I was happy, until alot of people couldn't come. Then I started getting sad. But then we invited more people we like :)

Are you serious? You opened a case against this man with HR, and you want him to be a part of your special day? I'm sorry, I would not even consider inviting someone like this, even if I had invited his entire family and every colleague he worked with...

yes! My cousin's husband! He creeps me out - and he made some comments last year that made me uncomfortable, and since then i haven't wanted to be around him.
I told my parents, and they sort of half believed me/half thought I was overreacting...
Until they found out that he was been kicked out of a yacht club for pinching waitresses butts
So now they believe me, and they'll be on vacation and won't be there!

I agree - it's not right what he did and you don't need to reward him byt inviting him to your wedding.

I'm w/ you! MIL is being AWFUL right now!!! I had posted something a few weeks back about children at the wedding. We said no one under 12. He has a 5 yr old niece (w/ NO discipline whatsoever) Well, MIL says 'I'm not coming'! FH told her when she contributes a $1 to the wedding she can invite anyone she wants! Yay for my FH!

Ughh!! I posted something similar. FMIL booked a vacation for her and her family and the return date is a day after our wedding. She threatned us many times w/ not going. So again... do I stil have to send her an invite?!?! Arrgh!
