I hate when people...
say are you sure you want to get married???
I know this has been posted before, but this man I work with always rags about how he hates being married and that ther should be a renewal of wedding vows every 10 years just in case you want out! I'm sorry but that makes me angry. Meanwhile, his wife is at home taking care of everything. The house, their kids, etc... All he does all day is brag about things he doesn't have and places he is "supposedly" going.
Does this aggravate anyone else?

This bugs me so much. Of course we don't know how horrible his wife may or may not be-but still I think when a man discusses his marriage (or woman for that matter) so openly in such a negative context-not only does it aggrevate me, but it says a lot about that person's character. My advise-IGNORE THESE BITTER PEOPLE. Utlimately you and your FH determine the fate of your marriage, not statistics, not our parents, and certainly not undersexed bitter miserable husbands/wives. Keep your misery to yourself!

I have met his wife on occasion and yes she was little snippy with him, but the way he talks to her is unbelievable! My FH and I respect each other very much and we are best friends. Of course no marriage is perfect, but these people said I Do for a reason. I told my FH about it and he just laughed. He said let them deal with their disfunctional marriage and let us deal with our wonderful future! Gotta love him!

oh i hate this too!!! it's like, don't bring me down into your world of misery - there are still people who actually enjoy marriage and full lifetimes together. I can't wait to be married and just try to ignore them.

My FH was telling me about a LT that he works with that was telling him he shouldn't get married because we already have the house and the baby...so there is no point in getting married...its just a piece of paper. My fiance told he that its more than paper...its telling the world that you love this person and want to share the rest of your life with him or her.(im so pround of him)...but still annoyed that his LT was trying to talk him out of getting married...what nerve!!!!::

Oh, I like you can not wait to be a Mrs.! I was ignoring for a long time, but today for some reason he just pushed my buttons the wrong way!

i was so upset!
I used to have a co-worker, who used to tell me I am too young, I should think TWICE, and perhaps should reconsider marriage. He kept trying to convince me to just live with him. 
I am glad he is now an EX Coworker!!!

VERY well said, and true.
FH hears it all the time at his job. He feels sorry for these people who aren't happy. He said all they do is complain about their wives and ask him to go to a bar after work.
He said he would NEVER rather go to a bar than be with me.
GOD! I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!

Ughh I hate it too!!! This one man at work constantly says how bad marriage is. And he always says what a waste of money weddings are. When I mentioned to someone that I extended it an hour he was like you should have shortened it an hour, your not going to make any money off of that-grrr!!!
