Calling All Girls that had a corset back on their gown.

I wanted to know if it was comfortable all day? Did it feel like it was pulled too tight?

My dress has the same type of back it felt comfortable when I tried it on but then again that was for a few minutes lol

I had the corset back and I was comfortable in it for the day.

Yes my gown also has a corset back. I shouldn't be thinking of this now. But, I was wondering how it was to sit and move all day in it.

It was extremely comfortable, although I do advise that you and whoever will help you get dressed practice lacing it up before it's final press before the big day, b/c it is kind of a long process to get the strings perfect if you do not.

My dress has a corset back but I opted to have a zipper put in instead. I was not thrilled about having the corset on all day. I figured it might be too loose or tooo tight..and I didn't want too have to worry about fixing it. I think I will have enough worries that day..

Who are the makers of your gowns? Does anyone have a Maggie Sottero?

I am actually excited about wearing it. I think it seems to feel (so far) sooo much more comfortable then a zipper b/c I was worried about it being too restrictive. I figured, if I lost a pound or two - i will tighten it - if I gained a pound or two - i will loosen it. Plus, my reception is in August outside, so if it gets too hot, i can loosen it (or if I eat too much cake!!).

Mine was a David's that looked like a Maggie.

Corset was great - completely loved it. I felt like it was "hugging" me all day!

I had a corset back Maggie Sottero - it was very comfortable and I did not worry about it moving all day. But - do NOT tie it too tight. It will be very uncomfortable and believe it or not is not as flattering to you when it's too tight. Mine was tied a little too tight and although I didn't notice it during the day, when I took it off I felt my whole back return to its normal position.

Mine is also a Maggie Sottero....but I was actually wondering this morning...what kind of Bra do you wear....(since the back of the dress is open)...or is it just easier to have the seamstress put in cups.

I may just wear a white strapless bra. I have long enough hair along w/ the veil, it may be hidden. But I will see........I guess cups sewn in is an option too.

Does anyone not have the material in between the corset? Of course they forgot on mine to sew mine in, but it actually looks nice showing a teeny bit of skin in the back, so I'm not going to have them add it in.

Mine is a Maggie also, Romantica (discontinued now).

You do not need a bra no matter what size you are, especially with a Maggie. After all, it is a corset which is originally designed to be lingerie and is probably the most support you can get (certainly more than any bra could be). I just had cups in my dress.

The material in the back of the corset (between the laces) is a modesty panel. It is not sewn in but a separate piece that attaches to the dress.

I have that piece of material in the back on my gown. Actually it wasn't there on the sample but they said it will come with my gown.

Mine's a Maggie with corset too(Grace). It is not in yet but as far as I remember, it did not have a modesty panel and I am probably going to have cups put in too because I want it a little open.

I wore a MAggie Sottero and it was very comfortable. I wore a strapless bra and wore the panel.
