Is anyone invited to your E-Party that you just don't want there??(Long Vent)UPDATED AT THE BOTTOM

My FBIL used to date this girl that I don't like...They still hang out but they are not officially dating anymore. When we sent out the invites...we mailed one just to him.and didn't even put her name on it. I guess he is bringing her just to have someone there.

She has never been nice to me and barely says three words to me. And she also flirts with my FI right infront of me.

Well I don;t want her coming to the engagment party...but she is. I just can't stand her. I know I am being petty and that there will be tons of other people there but it irks me that she is coming I also feel that since my mother is paying for this that I especially don't feel that she should come.

My FI and I got into a HUGE FIGHT about this over the weekend.

I'd be annoyed, too. But rather than cause problems with your FBIL, I'd probably suck it up and then b!tch about it to my friends later!!

i can do you one better - we were BLACKMAILED into inviting a horrible couple. basically they are the parents of my fil's close friends. we were sooo aganist inviting them, but my ffil gave us a sob story and basically told us we had to, and the parents (mine and fh's) paid for the e-party so we really had no say.

i'll tell you this much, they will NOT be at the wedding

That's awful. Is there any wya you can tell him he was NOT invited with guest and that you can't afford extra people?

FH's family won't give us a CENT toward the wedding because we don't want to invite FSIL. But she's absuive and mean and has already said things like "I hope you two have a very lonely life together" so why the f--- would I want her there?

IIf this girl isn't abusive, maybe you just need to suck it up and ignore her, you'll be surrounded by so many peopel that you DO like. But if she's absuive and mean, then say something to FBIL about how you can't let people bring guests, and your cousin or your firneds all asked to bring dates and you had to say no, and blah blah

Yessssssssssss yes yes. There is a girl that my FI used to kinda date. Anyway I dont like her never liked her and will never like her. I let him invite her b/c she is still a friend to him. But urgggggghhhhhhh I can't stand her. Too long to say why.

I won't have this issue because I am not having an e-party BUT there are people on my mother's guest list who really have no place at my WEDDING. People I don't know or people I don't like. Ugh. I suggest to drink a lil more than you thougt you would. Maybe it will numb the pain.

I might be crazy for saying this but i would not let her come. Your FH should tell his brother not to bring her --- end of story... it is your party and you dont want her there so she should not come. your FBIL can make up some excuse to tell her and it is not necessary that he have a date with him especially when she isn't even his girlfriend. I say NO WAY!

I'm having the same dilemma with a friend of ours. I DISLIKE his girlfriend soooooooooo much. I DO NOT want her coming to the wedding. She used to flirt with FI all the time. I've been trying to find a way to keep her from coming to the wedding, but I'm having NO LUCK (unless they break up)

When I first got engaged... I was close with this girl from work... who I now cant STAND!!!!

But we work together, and other people we work with are invited plus she got an announcement saying an s-party was being planned for early spring... so there kinda was no way to hide it from her...grrr.... so now she's coming

Yes- my FI's friend who is a JERK!! And his lame girlfriend who acts snotty and doesn't say two words to anyone...

I am just glad he will not be BM, so I am keeping my mouth shut on that one. Plus he is a doctor in the ER, so hopefully he will have to work...

funny... this is exactly what made me decide a destination wedding is the way to go.

There are just too many people that would bring me DOWN on my wedding day. Instead of being happy to see them, i'd be dreading it.

I guess the same applies to the e-party.

I am in the same boat. Except the bit%$ is the girlfriend of one of FI's good friends. My solution is that technically she's not invited. If the friend wants to bring her as a guest, then there's nothing I can do about it, but "officially" she is not invited, no invitation will be mailed to her. This is how I am keeping my sanity about the situtaion, a little rationalizing. I hate her, read my post about this, I really feel your pain

Well it seems that my FBIL wants to distance himself from this girl so he called my FI and was like "do you mind if I don't bring her"?? I am kind of trying to distance myself from her!
