Getting married after daylight saving time

Is anyone getting married after daylight saving time and having a difficult time determining how to capture daytime pictures? My ceremony will be in the evening in Nov., probably at 4pm, and by then the sun will be going down. The only way to capture daylight pictures is for FH and I to see each other before I walk down the aisle. Is anyone else doing this? Does anyone else have this problem?

We will be seeing each other before the ceremony anyway. I haven't really been too concerned about the backround of my pictures as long as the people who mean a lot are in them.

A LOT of brides end up doing pictures before the ceremony. DH and I did it, and it didn't ruin any of the beauty of the day. In fact, we had our own "moment" first seeing each other in our hotel lobby, all caught on film and it's beautiful. I'd show you pics but my webmaster is having problems with her hosting.

That's a great point. I didn't think about this at the time I set the wedding date. I wish I had.

I'm getting amrried 1 week after daylight savings and went through the same dilemma.

We're going to start taking outside photos at 3pm even though our ceremony it at 5pm. Neither one of us wanted a day wedding, so this is really the only way around that issue.

yup im in the same boat. our ceremony starts at 230pm and the sun starts setting at 453pm. all of the photo locations are at least 20 minutes away, so we'll probably only get about 30-45 mins to take outdoor pictures.

We're actually getting married on Daylight Savings Time Ends - 10/30, which is one of the many reasons we ended up choosing a morning/day wedding.

i am getting married on 11-5 also but our ceremony is at 1:30, maybe you and your fiance could take pics before the church

Thanks so much for your thoughts on this. I think I just have to start getting used to the idea of seeing my FH before I walk down the aisle.

We got married on the same day Can you move the time of your ceremony up? It will definetly be dark when you get out

We wanted a sunset ceremony so the only way to do it and get quality day pics was to do it before. Besides, we don't want to miss our party! We are getting ready at hotel, then taking separate limos to Arboretum (pic location)- he will see me there for the first time. Then, BP and us go in 1 limo and parents in other to ceremony/reception.

The only problem with 3pm is that our guests will be waiting at least 2 hours before the cocktail hour begins (6:30pm). I would feel horrible if I made them wait that long--particularly folks who drove in from NJ, Bronx and don't have anywhere to hang for those 2 hours.

I'm getting married on the same day! Our ceremony is at 2:30pm and I didn't even THINK of daylight savings! I've been hearing people talk about seeing eachother before the wedding and how beautiful the pictures come out!

We are getting married at 2 so that we can have some outside pics.
