What are your guests throwing after church/ceremony?
Girls, help! My church won't let guests throw rose petals or anything else after we get married! Bubbles will stain my dress and I've heard disaster stories about butterflies and doves. We're thinking balloons...any other suggestions would be such a great help! Thank you!
...this church stuff can drive you to drink!

The only thing that can be thrown is something that won't hit the ground. Unfortunately it seems like balloons, doves and butterflies are your only options. I did read one time one here that someone did streamers that were attached to a handle. That might be an idea.

thanks for replying so quickly, girls! we can't throw birdseed or anything...they don't want it left there for the next wedding. I asked about having someone clean it all up, but they still said no.

I had bubbles and MAde Ribbon wands cause we werent allowed to throw anything either. I liked how it came out. The pictures with the bubbles look cute too.

What about lavender? That is what I am going to try to talk my church into (as of now they said I can throw...NOTHING!) It is like dried potpourrie (sp?) and it doesn't stain.
I can't imagine anyone having a problem with this. I don't know what your colors are but lavendar is purple and green and it just blows away.
A lot of churches are saying "no" to birdseed b/c it makes weeds grow everwhere.

*And PLEASE never use balloons - they are soooo bad for the environment, strangling ducks and such...
ETA - Oooh - I just checked out www.weddingpetals.com and they even have dried heather that is pink! Check it out!
