NWR: Best home remedy for sore throat!
My throat is killing me but this happens fairly often enough that I am not ready for a trip to the dr YET...post yours...

Have you tried shaking your mouth out with apple cider vinegar and water (don't swallow it). I usually do this a lot because i have sinus problems that affect my throat. Or try teabag and add a bit of lemon or lime juice. And then try using bengay or vicks and rub around your glands (under your throat and behind your ears.) These are remedies i got from my mom.

gargle with salt water as much as possible. My doctor tells me every hour.

I will second the apple cidar vinegar remedy. I am a singer, and i swear by it.
The best thing to do is to put a tiny amount in a mug and fill it the rest of the way with hot water. Gargle the mixture. It tastes disgusting, but it definitely works. Try not to swallow it, b/c it's so acidic that it can give you an upset stomach.
