repost from BHB..what is the difference between IVORY AND BONE CHINA?
My FI and I picked out Pearl Innocence by Lenox but we found out its Fine Ivory CHina but the Opal Innocence which is the same exact pattern just a different color is FINE BONE CHINA! Is there a difference in quality?? Anyone know or have either of these?

I don't know, you'd be better off asking someone in the store who really knows what he/she is talking about. And if you wait a little longer, I am sure your original post on BHB will get you a better answer.

We did and they told us it was Fine Bone China and they were wrong...just thought maybe someone on here had the setting.
I thought I would post on here in case any one didn't read the BHB.

Re: repost from BHB..what is the difference between IVORY AND BONE CHINA?
I did a google search:
*Bone China – fine china dinnerware body with the addition of real or synthetic bone ash to add bright white coloring. While bone china is often considered more durable than fine china, modern manufacturing generally creates bodies of equal strength and durability in both bone and fine china.
*Fine China – a vitrified (see Vitreous) dinnerware body that has great translucency and strength — generally refers to dinnerware and giftware. Ivory fine china refers to the hue of the china, not the materials of which it is made
