Irish Wedding favors?
I am looking for some ideas for Irish Favors. I am doing donations to the Caner Society but I also wanted to give a little something as well.
Any Ideas? Thanks

Re: Irish Wedding favors?
What about a claddah suncatcher, or ornament. I've seen them from Miles Kimball www.mileskimball.com
Or try whatonearth.com - They have tons of interesting things in different ethnic cultures.

About ten years ago my friend gave mini-bottles of Baileys for her favors.

Re: Irish Wedding favors?
I have no idea where you might be able to get some of these things - but you might consider the following:
little pots of Irish clover - or seeds to grow it.
an ornament of a celtic cross, shamrock, etc. (I dont think this is limited to just a winter wedding - you can always hang it in a window)
I love the little bottle of jamesons or baileys idea that other brides posted!
You could also give a small piece of connemarra marble - (really beautiful islands off the coast of galway - famous for its rugged, almost bleak landscape). the marble is often used for worry stones, key chains, etc. . . available at most irish shops and irish souvenir stores
a piece of irish lace or linen for a hankerchief (might be expensive)
some Irish breakfast tea - bewleys is a good brand.
butlers is a really good brand of irish chocolate, in my opinion - and they sell bars of it.
a cd of irish songs - you can make it yourself, which is always nice!
If you know someone who is artistic - you can print out the Irish blessing/Irish prayer (may the road rise up to meet you. . . ) and frame it in 4x6 frames - I believe you can get frames really inexpensively at IKEA.
There's a souvenir chain called Carrolls that is all over dublin - website is www.buy4now.ie/carrolls/ they might give you some ideas - good luck!

Re: Irish Wedding favors?
Here are a few Irish ornaments
Check out Terrysvillage.com and autom.com VERY REASONABLE.
One of my friends did the shamrock for her shower favor & then a donation & the angel for the wedding.
