Wine as a Favor?

FH and I are thinking of doing small bottles of wine as a favor...can anyone tell us where to get them and how much they paid for them?

TIA!

Re: Wine as a Favor?

The cheapest place that we saw the small bottles of wine at were liquor stores (this is the 187ml size). They were $1.69 in our neighborhood liquor store...but I have the site for Astor Wines in the Village (free shipping over $100 or just go pick up your order) and they are super cheap...then there's the wedding sites that charge a lot more than it's worth. Know that most liquor stores will do the customized labels for free, so there's no need to pay more, or you can do them yourself. Hope these sites help:

Dr. Vino (for NYC liquor stores...Astor Wine is the best and cheapest!)

Specialty Wines

Valencia Liquor

I am so happy to help! Please let me know if you need help with anything...I went through the favor research not too long ago, I know how frustrating it can be...in case you want to do something like Pindar or Pugliese, I have the sites too. They're actually not that expensive...come out to between $6.50 and $7.00 per bottle (well, in the "wedding" world is not too expensive ).

Re: Wine as a Favor?

We're doing wine bottle favors, but we're getting them right from the vineyard. I know there are two different kinds. The small bottles with a twist cap and a little larger bottle (like 3/4 a regular size) with an actual cork. I like the bottle with a real cork better, but they are more expensive.

I think you can get them at most liquor stores.
