Hello all:
First of all, I want to thank you all for expressing your interest in attending. I think this will be really fun and I am looking forward to it. I have spoken to Ron and we have flushed out the general details. Of course, more information is to come and please FM me with questions, but please read the thread before asking, your question may already be answered. I will bump regularly.
Date: Saturday, July 23rd, 2005
Place: Shea Stadium
Event: New York Mets vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Game Time: 3 p.m. ET
Tailgate Event Time: 12:30 p.m. ET
Tailgate Location: Shea Stadium Parking Lot, Section TBD
Price Per Ticket: $25
Other Details
Unfortunately, Shea Stadium prohibits alcohol in the parking lot, so none will be provided and it is highly advised that you do not bring any. Sorry.
Food will include a hero and salads -- there will be veggie options for the non-meat eaters
Prizes will be awarded at the tailgate party. All attendees will have a shot.
The deadline for letting me know if you are attending, and how many will be in your party is Monday, March 28th. Shortly thereafter, Ron will post an electronic form for you to order your tickets via credit card online. I would ask that if you respond to this thread saying you are coming, please order your tickets when the form becomes available. As we go along here, I want to keep a semi-accurate headcount. I will keep the running list updated on this thread.
Once you order the tix online, you own them. No refunds.
Please let me know if you have any questions via this thread or via FM.

That was my first reaction...i figured it would be cheaper for a group rate for upper deck seats. We spent $25 for WOTY! But then I figured that it factored in the cost of the tailgate party as well.
Don, will there be a vegetarian option at the tailgate party? Brad doesn't eat non kosher meat, and I don't eat anything with pork products, so it's usually easier for both of us to go veggie when it comes to heros.

no worries, jax, for you and all the non-meat eaters, we'll make sure there are veggie options
the 25 dollar fee includes yuour ticket as well as contributing toward the goodies
