I have been to a few weddings where my boyfriend would sit at the head table and I was stuck with strangers far away. It was really awkward for me and if I had known before we RSVPed I wouldn't have gone. Just my opinion!

Wow, didn't know it was so big of an issue. I may reconsider my original thought or just ask my BM what they think.

this is awkward for most people. I think if the dates or SOs are not comfortable with the people they are seated with, your BP may be more concerned about the comfort level of their guest than about their role in the BP.

one of the weedings i went to this summer -my fi was in the wedding - i sat with other people - all the people i knew at the wedding were in the wedding party so it sucked for me-all the guys ate quickly to see their dates

Some of the BP have both in the BP so, I think we might do a table just for them, but I think it really depends on whether we max out our room......and it looks like we will!

This is what we are doing as well. We want to enjoy the party in in the company of those closest to us. We have the honeymoon and the rest of our lives to spend at a table with just each other.
