I agree- not the "typical" time for a bridal shower- maybe they want to throw her off and this is their way of doing it?

Is it a surprise? My MIL told me about a briadal shower, I think on a Tuesday evening -It was a BIG surprise. Maybe she's afraid that a weekend day would be too obvious?
