Writing your own vows?

My FI and I have decided to write our own vows! I thought it would be easy, but its not, i have probably come up with 5 different vows and I hate all of them. Any advice?

My DH and I wrote our own vows, but we used kind of like an outline. We didn't want one of us to get there ad read a novel while the other one had 2 lines. So we decided our vows should be 5 sentences. We used the first 2 sentences to talk about the other person and then the last 3 to really make vows to each other, and ending with "this is my solemn vow."

Steve, it's taken us a long time to get here, but that time has been filled with growth, both individually and as a couple. Throughout all of the ups and downs, I never doubted that we would be standing here, taking our two lives and joining them into one. I promise, in front of our family and friends, to take care of you and support you through whatever comes our way. I promise to always make you feel special and secure in my never ending love for you. This is my solemn vow.
