My moms cat died (UPDATE)
He is 17 years old and he stopped eating. They brought him to the Vet last night and they couldn't find anything wrong with him. THey did blood work and we will find out the results later to today
I HATE when pets die

Aww that's exactly what happened to my 16 year old cat a couple weeks ago! Unfortunately he stopped eating all together and passed away. I think at some point their bodies just start to shut down. The vet offered to put him to sleep, but we wanted him comfortable at home, so he gradually just got less and less active until he passed. It was very sad to watch--when he passed away I think he was 5 lbs, down from 20. He went nearly a month not eating. I'll be thinking of you, it's a very difficult thing to go through. I'm sure he had a very happy life though!

I'm SO sorry to hear this. I went through the same thing with my family cat last year around this same time of year. He was 16 1/2 and he stopped eating and then stopped drinking and eventually he withered away as described by others. We brought him to the vet to be put to sleep. We couldn't sleep at night. We kept wondering if he would fall over and die. Every bump in the night scared me.
I will keep your mom in my thoughts. It is difficult, but when we allow ourselves to love a pet, we eventually have to lose it. I hope she has good memories of the years with the cat.

Mr. Fayd (moms cat) he had 3 seizures last night and then passed away
My mom is sooo upset..They buried him in the backyard
He was just the sweetest cat and lucky to have been loved sooo much.
