Interesting Charitable Favor Idea
I was looking through some photographers web sites.. and someone had taken a pic of wedding favors-- and they were those Lance Armstrong Livestrong bracelets-- and they had a note with them-- couldn't tell what it said-- but I suspect the couple made a donation on top of giving all the guests the bracelets, which cost a dollar.
Anyway- thought I would pass along- thought it was cool.

along the same lines, i went to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital website, and they also had wedding favors, like bookmarks, to give to guests (with a donation in their name) in lue of wedding favors. I was considering it... do you think it is a good idea? or will guests be annoyed?

My cousin and her husband did this instead of giving favors. At the reception, there was a little piece of paper on everyone's plate that said that a contribution to the Lance Armstrong Foundation was made in your name. And then when they sent out their thank yous, they sent everyone a yellow livestrong bracelet. It was nice!

We're giving a donation to the American Lung Association in memory of both of my grandparents...think it's a great idea becasue so many times people don't really want/use the favors....
