Re: teachers- making my video

Just follow their directions and you'll do fine. I thought mine was horrible, but I passed. You shouldn't have a problem. Just do the first 10 minutes of teaching to the whole class and then break off and walk around stopping and helping or explaining to individual children or groups!! Good Luck!!

Re: teachers- making my video

Just make sure the video is long enough...one of my friends had to re-do hers because it was like 2 minutes short. Also make sure the battery in the camera is fully charged. I thought mine was until it died half way through!!!! Good luck!

Re: teachers- making my video

Timing is the really key thing. When I did mine I had someone there to cue me when it was time to move on to the next piece of the lesson.

Good luck!

Re: teachers- making my video

WOW! I did my video so long ago. I don't know if the criteria has changed. I got my permanent certs. in 1998. I teach special ed but have certs. in ELED as well as SPED. I had to do my video for ELED in a special ed setting and one of the kids had a breakdown towards the end. Apparently, it didnt matter. Good luck, I have never heard of anyone not passing.

I also used timers in my video. The kids were used to it. It allows you to make sure you had enough time for the individual work time as well as the whole amount of time you needed.
