Try Totally you in Merrick, Renate's in Lindenhurst, Sugar Plum, I dont recommend Moonlight Couture (long story).
My plus mom just bought her dress for my bro's wedding at Renate's, so friendly and helpful and alterations are good. Moonlight Couture exact opposite!

My mom and I went to all those places and found the dresses too matronly. She ended up finding her dress in Nordstrom's. It was beautiful and she didn't have to order it. I would check out the racks at Nordstrom, Lord and Taylor, Saks, even Macy's too.
