Anyone planning on leaving NYC early beacuse of snow?
My friends keep calling/emailing and telling me to leave work early and get home because LI is getting hit hard.
Anyone planning on leaving early?
I can only imagine the nightmare awaiting us on the LIRR.

Don't our bosses realize that just because it is not sticking in the city does not mean that it doesn't stick anywhere else.

I don't take the LIRR because I live in Queens but still let's be realistic. Snow sticks in the boroughs outside of manhattan and especially in Long Island.

I know how you feel too!! I hate when it snows here - all the city-dwellers here at my job (which is like EVERYONE!) give me nasty looks when I leave early. Yeah, like I really ENJOY the two hour delayed commute home on the LIRR!!!  so annoying!!! I just asked if I can leave at 4 to hopefulyy beat the bad weather service on the train ride home - still waiting to hear the OK from my boss though..........
ETA - I agree with the snowdays - we need those again!! I hate knowing that everyone else thinks I get "special treatment" bc I live on LI and either leave work early or call out when it snows.... What, bc I don't feel liek spending all day/night on my crappy train, that makes me a slacker for leaving work? and I STILL haven't ehard from my boss if it's ok to leave at 4 yet.... GGGGGRR!!!!

I'm in NJ. I left at 2:15 and my 25 minute bus ride took over 1 hour! The roads look pretty bad!

You know we do get to leave early sometimes, but our commute still takes hours and hours and the city-dwellers are still home way before us.
