NWR: Career Day for 8th Graders in Nassau County
Hello lovely ladies...
I am on the executive board for the Nassau Counselors Association, and not-for-profit organization made up of Ele., Middle, and High School Counselors and College Admissions Counselors.www.nassaucounselors.org
Well, I am the co-chair of our Career Day, for 8th Grade Students of Nassau County, and the event is held at NYIT- Old Westbury on April 1st in the morning with a REALLY nice lunch after....
BY ANY CHANCE do any of you want to speak at this career day? there are about 3 speakers in a room (so you wouldn't be alone), and the kids rotate rooms every 40 min, so you wouldn't be speaking for the full 3 hours.
WE DESPRETALY need Business (any area), Cosmotology, Fashion Design, TV/Media, Communications and Computers/IT or any interesting job that you think 8th graders might be interested in hearing about, and not exposed to normally.
if any of you would like to, or KNOW anyone who wolud like to, PLEASE let me know and I can send out the speaker packet with ALL the information included in it so you can make a decision. OR- if you know that your company attends events like this, if you could FM their name/address etc to me and I will send the packet to them.
