I know this sounds crazy, but Target actually has a large plus-size section, and a maternity section. I don't know what your proportions are like, but if your legs are not that heavy a maternity suit might actually be more flattering (I have a friend that wears maternity suits). The maternity suits are also not as long.
Most PG women wait until they're showing to wear maternity clothes, but I started wearing them right away. They're so comfortable, I'll probably continue wearing them long after the baby is born until I lose weight.

Re: PLus size ladies - Where do you buy suits/ work clothes
Maternity is totally not my proportions..I have a really hourglass sahpe. That's a good idea though. I have a lot of problems with "plus size" clothes because my waist is a lot smaller than my hips/bust. It's getting bigger though...time to bust out the pilates.
I only got to go to Old Navy, and they have CUTE stuff form spring, but nothing that I felt was professional enough for my interview..their stuff is just too faded and breezy, even if it is classic. Tomorrow I'm going to hit RF.

Re: PLus size ladies - Where do you buy suits/ work clothes
I finally lost enough weight to get out of plus sized clothes, but when I was buying them, I had the best luck at Macy's and Target. I like the women's section in Macy's in Manhasset better than the one in Roosevelt Field. I think the selection is slightly better and I think the RF store is always a mess, JMO. I've gotten some great stuff at Target, which is great if you are trying to lose weight and your sizes are changing - you can get new stuff periodically without breaking the bank!
Other places you might want to check out - there is an Elizabeth store (plus sized Liz Claiborne) next to the Miracle Mile in Manhasset and I sometimes find good Land's End stuff at Sears. I think both the Lord & Taylor in Garden City and Manhasset are nice stores.
