peapod Stop & Shop online groceries to your door step?

Anyone use? Sounds like a dream to me LOL..

it is good and bad - it is nice that you do not have to go to the store

but be aware - they give you a lot of things with close dates - for example with ougart -if you go to the store it has an expiration date for about 2 weeks away - when i get from peapod always less than a week

if you don't order a lot of dated stuff you should b fine - but just something i noticed from using peapod

I do agree with the dates thing. That has happened to me too. I also don't like buying fruits and veggies. They have come either too ripe or damaged. Meat was okay. Otherwise I mostly buy through peapod, dry goods, milk, eggs and things that don't have the tendency to spoil quickly. You also have to plan a couple days in advance for delivery, usually there is a 2 day lead time, at least in CT, not sure on LI. From what my IL's told me Peapod doesn't deliver to everywhere on LI.

I have used them here in Chicago for things I can't find in the store and its great! For example, I couldn't find fresh cranberries before Thanksgiving b/c they were sold out and I got them online from them!

I don't know about peapod but we ordered from Fresh Direct 2x, same concept and we loved it. Now I jus need a chef( yea right)
