Calling all Duet Brides!

Okay, we met with Duet on Sat, and loved their work. I'm torn between them and another company that is a lot more expensive. I have heard some mixed reviews about proofs not being turned around in time, and not enough posed traditional shots (I want a combination of both that and B/W photojournalism). Also concerned about the language barrier. Any past brides out there who can give an updated review? Any info is appreciated! (will also post this in Bride's Review Chat Room).

Hi, we are using duet for our upcoming wedding. We were torn btwn them and perceptions (much more $) but realized the package and work that duet proposed would save us tons with great pix. We had our engagement session recently, the proofs were done in a about 2 or 3 weeks (if that) and I loved them all. We worked with Alberto and there is no language barrier, at all. He was respectful of what I liked and disliked and I am thrill to have him be there for my wedding day.

I was torn between three companies (DUET, 12th night and Perceptions).

12 night didn't offer albums in their packages, but were reasonably priced. Perceptions were my first choice, but they're too expensive for me. So I chose DUET, since I got photo/video for 4500 (about 40% less than my first choice...)

As far as the language barrier and the quantity of traditional/photojournalistic shots, just make sure to put everything in writing and express to them exactly what you want.

If possible, schedule an appointment with your actual photographers and see how you guys can communicate.
