NWR: Taking my baby in to the pediatric neurologist tomorrow
Please say some  for us that its nothing. It seems that hes having daily seizures of some sort right after his fight with pneumonia. His name is Gabriel Michael and hes 3 years old. Were going to Long Island Jewish Schneiders Childrens Hospital..

Amy- My youngest brother was epileptic when he was younger...my brother and I witnessed him have a seizure when we were very little. It is scary to have to go through this but he was put on medication...which helped him a great deal....and today he is a healthy 23 year old College Graduate...going to start grad school in the Fall!!
Just trying to say that there is hope!!

The best thing you can do is allow him to have a full battery of tests. Best case scenario, he is fine. But in the event that there is an issue, you can know you are doing the right thing by your child. G-d bless Gabriel and I pray that he is ok. He is blessed having an attentive and responsible mother. In my line of work, it is unfortunately common to see parents allow their children to fall by the wayside. You are doing a good thing.

I am so sorry to hear about your son. I know how scary it is. My nephew started having seizures at arounds 2 months old. At first they thought they were febrile seizures, I really feel it had something to do with his immunizations (DPT). He had a whole bunch of tests, he was observed in the hospital with an EEG for three days and they never found the root of the problem. He was having seizures without fevers. They put him on phenobarbitol he was constanly drugged and still having seziures. This went on for two years. Finally they put him on a medication that is used in adults (Keppra). He has been seizure free for three years now. He is a intelligent, happy and healthy little boy. And they say they can try and take him off the meds when he gets a little older. Hopefully for you it is only an isolated incident related to the pneumonia, but if not be assured that with all the advances today with medications your son will be fine. Children are so resilant they can overcome anything. Keep us posted. My prayers are with you and your family.
