Since it's a holiday weekend, I would say book at least a year and a half out....Memorial Day weekend is really popular.

Re: How long ahead to book hall?

i say as soon as you can. We booked our hall two and a half years in advance and there were people who wanted our date as we were looking at it! Definitely book it soon.

Re: How long ahead to book hall?

i agree... book as soon as you can... you dont have much to loose by doing that (depending on your hall, you might not even loose your deposit if you cancel) and you have the place you want when you want it for the price you want it at. sometimes prices go up randomly... and once you book your hall you can start booking other vendors!

Re: How long ahead to book hall?

The advantage too, is that you can get a better price. Like, when we booked our hall, the site fee was lower, the price per head was lowered and we got a lot more included in the price. All because they did not have a 2005 price list yet.

Definitely ASAP! Though I am waiting on my mother's recovery from heart surgery to start booking vendors.

Re: How long ahead to book hall?

I would look as soon as you have a chance. My friend is getting married August 2006, but had to keep moving it back because he couldn't get a date!

But then again, I've been told I am anal for wanting to get things done ASAP!

Re: How long ahead to book hall?

Holiday weekends go first. I booked 2 years in advance for labor day weekend. Labor day, memorial day and 4th of july are very popular because of the weather!

Good Luck!

Re: How long ahead to book hall?

We booked a year and a half in advance. I suggest the sooner the better especially if you are interested in a holiday weekend.
