Finding job opportunities online

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience doing this, or knows of anyone who has. My husband is looking for an employee and I checked into nytimes.com, hotjobs.com (the most reasonably priced) and monster.com (very expensive). Since I can't see an actual job ad, I can't compare them and I have no way of knowing if the format or actual exposure is worth the money.

Do you know of any other site or can you offer any opinions or insight into these?

I really appreciate your time on this.

Re: Finding job opportunities online

Hi, I know a large amount of people look online for jobs. It would be money well-spent.

I would say the greatest exposure would be the nytimes.

You can also check out careerbuilder.com (which I believe is also affiliated with newsday).

He can also post an ad on craigslist.org for no cost (but not as professional, etc.)

Good luck.

Re: Finding job opportunities online

if you want to see the actual job ad, you can search for free on all those websites as an EMPLOYEE - that's one way to get around it

online job searching is what is hot these days - everyone I know is searching this way instead of through recruiters

Online is how I have been looking for a job for about 4 months. I like it alot better than looking through the paper
