It's probably never too early to start looking. A good travel agent should be able to advise you on how far in advance you need to lock in your plans.

I'd guess that some areas fill up faster than others and if you've got your heart set on something specific you're best off planning well in advance so you're not disappointed by finding the reservations are full.

In most publications that I've read..they say you should book your honeymoon 6 months prior to your wedding date. Good Luck..

We are booking in 2 weeks for the 2-weeks following our 11/3/01 wedding. We are getting a good deal on airfare and the good resorts are already selling out (especially in Vegas and in Kauai!) for the 2-weeks we want to go! My advice is to start looking whenever you want, even if it is early. The travel agents will let you know when airline rates are available for that time of year.
I am planning long distance , so that adds to the stress. I'll be in NY for 5 days over the holiday and I have a zillion things to do while I am there . It will all get done though. Good luck !
