How many pictures did you have in your album?

I am picking out the pictures we want and we are already up to 52. I think that is a lot and probably will be expensive. My photographer took like 500 pictures, there are too many to choose from.

we had about 87 i think
and it was expensive!!!
we had 48 pages though, so some of the pages had more than one picture

We stuck with the basic package of 36. We don't have parents, though, so perhaps that would have added some to our list. Also, we weren't that excited about how they came out, so it wasn't that tough to stick to 36 and I couldn't see spending more on photos I didn't love that much.

Wow, that is a lot. I think I will maybe put a few pictures on one page, it will probably be cheaper that way, since they will be smaller picture. About how many pages and what type of pictures did you put on the same page (if you know off hand). Thanks.

You had a package of 36, what type of pictures did you pick? My problem is I want every close up and every kissing picture or every different spot the photographer took the pictures. It is so hard to choose. Not that the photographer did that great of a job, she was ok. I just like the hall and the views so much. Also, I have a large family, so there was so many pictures I have to have.

We contracted for 30 but ended up with 42. It is expensive to add on-- for us it was $15 a picture & to but more than 1 on a page is an additional fee ( we didn't end up doing that anywhere, just b/c of how the layout worked out)

I narrowed it down from 1,022 to 60 & then after seeing what my parents picked, I narrowed it down more, I'd just go back every few days & take out anything that was repetitive. I was trying to get to 40, but 42 was close enough.

We did, the program, me leaving my house, outside with the bm, outside alone, getting into the limo with my parents, DH & best man waiting in the church office, coming up teh stairs ( jsut b/c it was a cool shot) the grandmas, mom s & bms entering, dh & groomsmen watchignme enter, me & dad entering 2 ceremony shots & one ring close up ( actually a re-enactment), a coupel excited the church into the lobby & then 2 walkign down the outside steps of the church, a posed shot on the steps with BP, then one of DH alone, one of each set of immediate families, 1 sitting on a bench, 1 walking to reception, 2 first dance, walking to our seats after first dance best man giving toast, us watching, best man & MOH toasting, 2 extended family shots, full length cake cutting shot, close up of cake, close up of hands cutting cake, & we closed with a shot of walking away that was taken earlier.

ETA- do you get to keep your proofs? That helped me. I will make an album of those & I have the digital files so I may make some collages too.

Thanks for the info. I don't have a contract, so we didn't have a package deal. We are paying per picture, so it maybe even more expensive. Hopefully not though. I don't know if we get to keep the proofs, but they guy that owns the shop that we are getting the album from is a friend of DH's, so I would think so... I really hope so. I want to also, put some in an albums. I am going to find out.

70 PICTURES, we had to pay $400 more, but to us it as worth it not to have to par down any more than we already did.

I have a package for 60 pictures in my album
I am meeting with my photographer today to help me with my album. They are the experienced ones - let them help me through the process!

Our official album has 36.

I scanned our proofs and made albums for both sets of parents and my grandma and I'm going to make a big photo book for us as well.

Our contract was for 50 we wound up with 66. They charged us a lot plus they charged us for all different kinds of crap So in the end it cost us another 800.00

We had about 85 out of 500 proofs.

We picked 30 out of 1500!! I really didn't care so much about the album I was just happy to have all of the proofs and I am making my own album

Our package was for 40 pictures. I think we wound up choosing 48, so there were some pages where we put two pictures on one page. For us to get extra pages would have been really expensive, but it didn't cost us anything to have multiple pictures on a page.
