NWR-Brooklyn girls-for a good laugh

You're truly from Brooklyn if you can relate to any of the following:

1. You like TKA

2. You know someone who went to Lafayette, New Utrecht or Fort Hamilton.

3. Every Asian is Chinese and there is no difference between a Puerto Rican and a Dominican- they're all SPANISH.

4. Is it just me, or is every girl from Bensonhurst a real b****?

5. You've taken the B14, B9 or B4 (with an occasional S79 so you can go

to the Staten Island Mall).

6. You once fell asleep on the B train after midnight, and the conductor woke you up in Coney Island.

7. If you're from Long Island or Staten Island you're not really from NEW YORK.

8. You don't go to Manhattan, you go to "the City."

9. The Belt Parkway s***, so does the BQE but you know them like the back of your hand.

10.You always change at Pacific or 54th, 36th Street....

11. You never realize you have an accent until you leave.

12. Your parents took you to the REAL Nathan's, in Coney Island.

13. You've gone to at least 10 different Parish Bazaar's whether you were Catholic or not and whether you liked the school or not.

14. In your neighborhood people live in groups and you know or you can tell where each group lives: Italian, Irish, Russian, Polish, Spanish, Chinese and Indian.

15. At some point in your life, you've gone fishing in Sheepshead Bay.

16. There is at least one pizzeria within 1 block of your house.

17. At least 3 of your friends worked at a Movie Theater.

18. You love Welcome Back Kotter (and not because of the crisp writing or great acting).

19. You curse. A lot.

20. You can name at least ten players on the Mets '86 team, and five people who have worked at Shea.

21. You know the difference between going with, seeing, fooling around with, and going out with someone.

22. Private beach? What's that?

23. You know where to find alcohol at 3 AM.

24. You've been to Mustardseed, Peggy O'Neill's and the original Beard's

25. You've had a pigeon crap on your car.

26. You've been to the Vegas Diner, Bridgeview Diner, or the New Royale -- after 4 a.m.

27. Your friends came over to hang out on the stoop.

28. You have no reason to go to Queens, except for Met games.

29. You've cruised under the L on 86th Street.

30. You know someone with mob ties.

31. You're appalled, but go to the porn theater on Bath Ave.

32. You've been to or heard of the Lamps of China.

33. Your family lives in the same house, and the rest live a few blocks away.

34. There is a bar down the block and you've hung out there, probably before you were 18.

35. There is a 24 hour bagel shop a few blocks away.

36. You've gotten drunk on Shore Road or Dyker Park.

37. You know Bay Ridge Ave as 75th Street.

38. You know someone who claims they played with John Franco.

39. You can correctly pronounce places like Long I-lind, but don't know where it is.

40. Everybody knows somebody, even if it is your mother's cousin's son-in-law's sister's boyfriend.

41. You've gone bar hopping in Bay Ridge.

42. You've been in a bar when it got raided or got kicked out before the raiding happened.

43. Spumoni Gardens, thats all I have to say.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

44. You walk down 86th Street and see at least a handful of the people you knew growing up.

45. The first bar that you hung out in when you were 15 is "so young now".

46. All Catholic School Girls have a dirty name to go along with their school name (Kearney, OLPH, SSHS, Fontbonne).

47. Girls-- chances are if you hooked up with somebody in Ruby's,Canteena, Dillon's or Rock and Jock's, They DO have a Girlfriend. (Hee hee)

48. Kings Plaza.... how come we get the crappy mall?

49. You know someone (or you are someone) who is in a band, or at least plays the guitar.

50. You wait for years and years to go to that bar that you aren't allowed into when you are under 21, and then once you are 21 the only people that are in that bar are the same people that have been in the underage bars with you since you were 15.
