Aruba Hotels...Hyatt or Radisson????

DH and I decided to take a trip to Aruba in May.

Can anyone help us decide between the Hyatt and the Radisson?

We hear the Hyatt is a little more posh but the Radisson has better grounds and balconies. Just not sure what to do!

They were both very nice...I LOVE the marriot though.....that place is AWESOME......

Hyatt and Radisson are both the same..so i would go for whatever is the best price...they are right by each other.

hyatt was awesome!!! but it was $$$...radisson looked nice, too, but we kept hearing hyatt, hyatt, hyatt!!! next time, though, i'm sure the radisson will be just fine

what is awesome, though, is that you are going to aruba! have fun!!!

We actually stayed at the Marriott 4 years ago and loved it!! We just wanted to stay somewhere different this time. I remember really loving the grounds at the Hyatt last time and thinking that is where I want to stay next time...but now all the reviews say the Radisson grounds are nicer....I guess it all a matter of opinion too!

the radisson has beautiful rooms and balconies, and the grounds are really wonderful. if you chose the radisson ask for a room in the aruba tower! the service there is top notch. in my opinion, the radisson is more laid back than the hyatt. when we went it seemed the hyatt had a little bit more going on at night. either way i heard the hyatt is wonderful, but not all rooms have balconies.

My friend stayed at the Radisson on her honeymoon and she loved it!!!

When I was there I stayed at the Divi Divi Tamajaran...which was also very nice!!

I stayed at the Marriot Ocean Club (or Surf Club...can't remember, and that was only 6 months ago)...anyway, I hated it, probably because I expected something different, and the people I went with kept building it up and up...and I guess by the time I got there I had super high expectations.

It felt like there were 2,000 people on the beach....so crowded...I didn't think it was that nice.

I went to the Hyatt for dinner, and the grounds were beautiful...if I was to go back to Aruba, I'd stay at the Hyatt.

We stayed at the Radisson and really loved it!!! At first we thought our room was a little small but ended up loving it. The grounds are beautiful and the balcony was great. We would definately stay there again.

I think your friend is mistaken about the balconies at the Hyatt though, they dont' have any (except for the oceanfront rooms). They have doors that open where you can sit in your room and look out, but no balcony

Radisson rooms are BEAUTIFUL, west indian motif. They have FULL balconies, not just a railing like the Hyatt. Also, Radisson is newer. The Hyatt has not been refreshed in 15 years, the Radisson is only about 3-4 years old. The Radisson has zero entry pools, the Hyatt does not. The Hyatt has a pool slide, and the Radisson does not. IMO, stay at the Radisson and treat yourself to dinner at the Hyatt, and one afternoon go hang out on the Hyatt property. Also, go to their websites, look at the room pics and grounds, and see which one appeals to you more. We loved the Radisson, and would definitely stay there again. I also second the request for the Aruba Tower.

When we went to Aruba, we stayed at the Hyatt. It was more money, but not that much more. The Hyatt was absolutely gorgeous. We did visit the Radisson, and were very happy we went with the Hyatt. The grounds of the Hyatt are so much nicer. I ran almost every morning down there along the path behind the hotels and the Hyatt was the only one that had people maintaining the grounds at 6:00 in the morning.

Also, the pool slide was very cool !!!

teach2b, we were probably at the hyatt at the same time! we got married at TC on 8/8 and were at the hyatt from 8/9-8/17.

We stayed at the Radisson for our honeymoon because we wanted a balcony, but we visited the Hyatt to see the grounds and have dinner. They are both amazing and beautiful hotels and you really cannot go wrong with either one. If we went back to Aruba, we'd probably pick the one with the best rate!

Your right, we were definitely there at the same time. We arrived on 08/08 and left 08/18 to come back to New York. Did you go to the spa there at all? The spa was great!!

So I think we are going to book the Hyatt. Not sure why...we just have to pick one.
