best bridal shower and why
So I have a question: What was the best bridal shower you ever went to and why? My sister and mom are planning the whole things themselves and I want to try to help them out (they're perfectionists and really want everyone to have a good time )

Re: best bridal shower and why
I always like the ones that are at someones house. Its just more relaxed and you don't feel rushed. Of course I told my mom this and she said no way for my shower! I'm a little peeved but no one really had a big enough house.
How about a backyard thing? I'd love that!

Re: best bridal shower and why
Not because I planned it and I am biased or anything, but my sister's bridal shower was great and no one really had anything bad to say about it. We had it at my house, got great food, tons of dessert, and of curse, the wine was flowing freely. The best part about it was that people could move around, and no one was force3d to watch her open her gifts if they did not want to. Don't get me wrong, the house was crowded (80 people! ) but we managed and had fun.

I am going to have to agree on that one. A shower is when you usually get gifts for the home so to be in a home is nice. A home shower, to me is quite cozy and warm. I told my BP that they should not go to a huge expense to plan a shower and that my mother woud willingly allow the use of her house to host a shower. My sisters love to make salads and even if it were bagels and cream cheese, it would be fine with me!

Re: best bridal shower and why
I can't wait for mine, my BM's are doing a wine theme, its going to be in my aunts back yard, they are going to make tons of the wine charms for the glasses, and have bottles of wine as favors, and my aunt is putting up tents in the backyard and the girls are going to decorate it with vines and grapes, Thats all I know for now, they want to keep some of it a surprise!

Re: best bridal shower and why
My cousins shower that we threw for her in my backyard. It came out perfect...we rented tables& umbrellas and chairs with beautiful chair covers. Each table was decorated with beautiful potted mini roses that each guest could take home, wine (both store bought and homemade ), my mom and aunts made all the food - DELICIOUS..it was a beautiful spring afternoon, everyone was mingling and did not feel like they had to be confined to one space. It was a very comfortable and relaxed amtmosphere...I'm hoping mine is exactly the same ...
