What color is your album?
OK, I didn't know there were so many options. We picked, but we can change it.
So far, the leather is wine, the matte is cream & the edging & cover print is silver.

This will set us back another three months...
I know. I was prepared for colr, I thought I don't want black or white, so I'll see if they have brown, but htey he had a whole chain of swathces, like i was alpostering a couch! There were 4 browns, so I picked burgundy instead.
& we had to pick what to say on the cover & the same for both parent albums.

My album is also a burgandy color, black matted edges with silver and silver writing. We only wrote our names and the date on the cover in the bottom right hand corner. My parents chose a slate greyish/blue with black mattes and silver edges. They wanted "Our Children's Wedding on the cover. Kind of cheezy, but that was the "traditional" way they remember doing things for their wedding album and parent albums back in the good 'ol 70's.....

 I thought DH's parents would want that or "Our Son's wedding" but we aren't giving them that option. They are just getting our names & date on the bottom right.
We will give them color options though.
Our album will have our monogram on the cover & the date on the lower right.

Our cover is leather - Espresso, the pages cream, no page gilding and our name & date on the cover are branded again no color fill.

we have the digital album.. there is no matte or edging.. the cover is black and there is a blind deboss of our name on the front.. there is also a cut out on the front w. our photo on it.

Our professional album is tan/off-white as they don't have either ivory or gold colors to match our wedding color scheme. The matting pages are however, in ivory color. Champagne with accents of gold and ivory was aour wedding color scheme. The spine is a metallic gold. Our names and wedding date engraving on the cover is gold. The box of the album is a dark red color as it was the only option our photographer has.
How about choose a color that matches your wedding color scheme?

If they don't have anything that closely matches your wedding color scheme, IMHO go for white. I think white gives it a "bridal look" to your wedding keepsakes.

Burgundy does match pretty closely; we had cranberry bm dresses & orange & burgebdy flowers. I kind if like the debossing, but the sample we saw was really worn & didn't show up on the color ( that one was brown) so, we weren't sure how it would hold up.
I was wondering if people matched-- I am surpised many of you have, I thought more people got black or white.
Our album foor amateur shots is ivory & sort of bridal looking, so this doesn't have to be. The burgendy reminded me of a library , which is another reaosn I liked it.
part 2 question--If you matched yours to your colors, did you also match your parents' album to your wedding colors?

That quote was alive and well into '97 when my brother got married- the parent album says "Our children's wedding" on the front.
