Ok another hair question for you Newlywed...especially for those of you who got married in the summer..

DID you wear your hair up or down. If you wore your hair down were you too hot with it down??? Did it get frizzy??

Please let me know..thanks so much Newlywed girls!

I got married in July and I for all the reasons you mentioned I went with an updo ... I know that a good hairstylist will make sure your hair 'holds' if you wear it down, or half up/down.. but I just didn't want to take the risk and get the frizzies

AND I also just dind't want to worry about having to fuss with my hair at all (or get too hot with it down) in case the weather was hot and humid

Luckily we had the most moderate temps on our wedding.. 80s, no humidity , just perfect

One of the reasons I got married in the winter was the weather. I hate humidity and I have a fro! My hair is naturally very curly. Is yours curly?

I have pin straight hair so I chose to wear it half up and half down, it was not a problem for me - I wasn't Hot all day-you are mostly inside anyway so it's air conditioned.

I have long hair and often wear it up or in a ponytail. I just wanted to have it off my face and didn't want to have to worry about it at all during the wedding so I could dance all night. Of course taking out the 100 bobby pins wasn't so fun, but it held up great!

Maybe try it both ways at a trial (I did that)and decide the day before when you know what the weather is like. If I got married in the summer, I would have done that. You will look beautiful w/ it up or down!

My wedding was in August and it was HOT! I wore it up because my hair can get frizzy and I also wanted it away from my face.

I got married in August 2002, and I wore my hair in an up-do. It was too sticky to wear it down in my opinion.

I also wanted to wear it up because I ALWAYS wear my hair down so wearing it up was for a special occassion.

I got married in Aug 2003 and wore my hair up. I didn't want to chance it getting frizzy (and my wedding happened to be on a VERY foggy, misty day ). The up do held up and did the job!!!!!

My wedding was in August and I had my hair completely up, not because of the potential heat, but because I thought it looked more elegant that way.

I got married in August and wore my hair up. I felt an updo looked more elegant on me and went well with my dress. I didn't really think about the weather but went with what I liked.

i got married in august and the day itself was perfect, but i have curly hair and during the trial we played with half up and all up, with curls b/c i figured why fight them, work with them. we opted for all up, but it looked messy but in a good way.

Nope. My hair was down for our August wedding. I personally like my hair down because I look my best with it down. It rained on our special day and it was humid. I was so happy that I'd glowed all day and the weather didn't bother me at all as nothing was going to break my happiness.

I was married in August as well and have naturally curly hair. I wore it all up because I thought it looked better with my dress, and it's something different since I normally wear my hair down.

The fact that it's usually humid which makes my curls stick to my head is another reason that I opted for up.
