Wedding Flip-flops

So I really hate wearing dress shoes, I find them extremely uncomfortable. I am thinking maybe I will get some fancy flip flops instead. The wedding is on Sunday afternoon in July... The ceremony is at the reception hall.. What do you all think? Is it tacky?

I found them on myglassslipper.com
They are by touch ups and are called "change at the reception"
They come in white, gold, silver, and black
and they are $24.00

Re: Wedding Flip-flops

I think the 2nd pair are super cute. My vote is to wear reg shoes through ceremony and formal pics, and then ditch them after!

Re: Wedding Flip-flops

As your good friend and a bridesmaid I will wear whichever you want. I think it's a great idea actually, and if anyone has problem with them which I doubt your bridal party will I'll smack em' for you...lol...actually Lauren I really really like the first pair.

Re: Wedding Flip-flops

if i was getting married in the middle of the summer i would wear flip flops the whole time...i live them. no sence in being uncomfortable on your day. think about it who really looks at your feet. i know that is the last thing that i look at.

Re: Wedding Flip-flops

My cousin got flip flops that matched the bridesmaid's dresses for her wedding. It's such a good idea! My shoes will prob. be very low (no more than 2 in.) but I like the idea of changing into flip flops later...

Re: Wedding Flip-flops

I like the first pair. You defintely want to have something comfortable on. Aside from my shoes I also have these that my mother got for me to change into in case my feet hurt.

I'm gonna wear sneakers after the ceremony due to my high arches and hammertoes (mmmm sexy). Ive posted these before. I may end up making my own. I taught art for two years so I think I can whip up something.

Ooo, Thumballina, I love those slippers. Where did you find them? The Isotoner Website? Are they dyeable, or just an off-white color?

Re: Wedding Flip-flops

My mom just told me she thinks the flip flops are "too much" (or I really guess she meant not enough...)
Oh well, I told her I liked them, and I want to wear them.

I found that particular pair on-line...but you can get them at Lord-Taylors...they come in Ivory and white...you will not be sorry...I wear them around my house all the time...they are so comfortable...I sometimes walk out to do errands and realize half through the day that I have these things on my feet... I forget to change into my shoes

Re: Wedding Flip-flops

Hey as long as you're comfortable! I don't think people will be looking at your feet during the ceremony (hope not) and if you're tall enough to do it (i'm only 5'2 - need ALL the help I can get!) then do it!
