Kleinfeld's in Brooklyn? Anyone order gown there?
I have an appointment there next week. Any good or bad experiences with them?

my sister got her dress there last year (and i'm actually going to be wearing it for my wedding) she had a really good experience with them. my only suggestion is try to bargain at least a little because it can get really pricey. she got a one of a kind anne barge dress during the designer's trunk show so anne barge was there. very helpful! she also got her accessories there (veil, shoes, tiara). the shoes were less expensive than at other bridal shops and she got the veil for a discounted price cuz my mom bargained hard. good luck, hope you find a great dress.

I had a great experience there. Went just to look my second time out and picked a dress. The whole giving them your cc number to hold an appointment turned me off at first, but I figured since they're such a big place they may have people standing them up a lot.
They have a large selection and I was happy that my saleswoman stuck with my budget ($1,000-$1500). People on here have said they start at $1,500, but that's not necessarily the case.

They have very pricey items and if you don't show up, that is revenue they may be losing especially if another bride would have taken that appointment. It is very much like a hotel - you don't show up - they charge. I think they are just protecting themselves. It is simply a coutesy to call if you cannot show up.

Yep, I ordered my dress. The saleswoman mentioned that it was possible it could be discontinued (apparently they say that a lot, likely to urge you to buy, but I guess it could happen if styles are seasonal) but I really did like the dress and figured it was one less thing to worry about.
Kleinfeld orders the dress to come in about 10 weeks before your wedding (not sure if all salons do this. Mainly because they don't want it hanging around the store, or for you to take it home and have it altered elsewhere!) But I decided to stick with them because I know they have a good reputation.
