Remedy for SEVERE sore throat?!!

I'm at 15 weeks preggo and my daughter brought home strep last week, I cannot even swallow and did not speak for most of the day because I am in so much pain. Any advice? I had a strep screen done today and it's not strep.

I get strep 2 times a year, no fail. What helps me is hot tea with honey, gargling salt water, and believe it or not, tylenol. It takes away some of the sharp pain.

I would get another strep test because you don't want to fool around with it - they may have tested you a little too early for it to pick up on the test, and your symptoms sounds just like strep.

I always put honey on a spoon with a little bit of lemon juice. It helps to sooth your throat! Hope you feel better soon.
