MACY'S (quick vent)

The NERVE!! When I registered for my Lenox Hannah 5 piece setting it was 89.95. Last week it was on sale for 64.95. Now it is 129.95!!!!!!! Are you f@!#$ kidding me? BBB and even LENOX.COM has it for 89.95! I can't believe those b!@##$. Thank you. I feel better now.

On a lighter note.. someone bought the Waterford Cake Plate for me!!!

I'd give Macys a call and get to the bottom of this. I remember reading a while back that there was a glitch in a few registries of china being mispriced.

I noticed the same thing today. This platter I have on there that was 49.99 is now $71.00 how annoying!

they do that but then they tend to go right back down soon after. it's more on sale then off.

That happened to me too! When I registered my china (Wedgwood-Icing) was $109.00 but now it's $165!!! The registry person said it is on sale a lot and that they will tell my guests not to buy it at full price, but I hope she wasn't lying!!! I look like I am so greedy and presumptuous.

Don't worry Macy's always has sales! My sister worked for Macy's for several years, and people hardly ever pay full price, I was also concerned with this when I was registering, because I kept telling her, who in their right mind would pay this much! , the stuff goes on sale so often.

FH's cousin registered there and they totally turned me off. First I thought maybe it was just the store I went to but after 3 Macys I realized it wasn't. I love Macys too but their registry system is the pits! She had so many items on her registry that they didnt have and couldnt tell me how to get them. The china pattern she had they told me had to be custom ordered at one store and then the last store told me they had 3 sets in the back that it was her glasses that had to be custom ordered which the first store told me they were just out of and the second store told me that I could look on their back shelf to see if they had. Well they were individual and dirty and the shelf they had were filthy too. I couldnt get anyone to help me. Just a horrible experience. The stuff they had in the store computers didnt match the stuff they had left from my home computer.

we just registered there today and had a great experience!! i did over hear the lady next to me complaining about prices going up... the saleswoman explained to her that once a sale ends, the item cant be on sale until 48 hours pass... and then it usually goes right back on sale after that time passes

Well I have my own issues with Macy's BUT Fortunoff informed my FI and I that the Lenox Opal Innocense and the Pearl Innocence will be going up in price due to increased popularity!! And of course we had decided on the Pearl Innocence...not sure what the heck we are going to do now!!

Yeah I noticed the same thing with my china....I was like OOhh it's on sale and now it's not...oh well. My mom actually has been getting stuff at one of the outlets and I then need to take it off.
