Opinions please: where should we look at wedding rings

I would try good old gold in massapequa. He has a great selection, but most importantly I found his reputation and customer service to be stellar. I think his website is goodoldgold.com

I can tell you where not to go... the fh got my e ring at fortunoffs. We were going to go back there to get a matching band, but they are so rude there that I would probably not use them ever again.
Every time we go - its the same thing. They make you feel like you are bothering them. No thanks!

We're having ours custom-made at Elsa's in Farmingdale. The strip mall storefront aspect is a little off-putting when you first pull up, but it's very nice inside.

We bought ours from Elsa's...so far, they have been great to work with. Ask for Elsa or Stephan.

Diamond district!!! All these other stores are retailers so you will pay way more there for the same thing. We got ours custom made by a guy Ronald in the DD. I have his contact info at home but he's at 5 west 47th if you're interested.

I am so glad that it is not just me who thought that the ring sales clerk's at Fortunoff's leave much to be desired. We actually purchased our wedding bands from Fortunoff's but we actually asked to speak with a manager b/c the sales clerk was not nice.
Basically I asked to see a ring and before the sales clerk gave it to me she was like this is such an ugly ring and would not go with your e-ring. I said, thanks but I would like to be able to decide for myself and could you get someone else to help us please.

Yes, I found that you have to practically light yourself on fire to get descent help which is ironic because they have a lot of salespeople. Also the prices are WAY over what you can get for the same ring elsewhere. I was looking at eternity bands and for the same cut, color and clarity of stones I could get a custom made ring elsewhere at a much cheaper price. I'd also rather look at the individual stones before and after they are set with the scope.

I would highly recommend Ianelli Diamonds in the diamond district. We bought our wedding bands there and that is where my engagement ring was from. They are so nice and professional and can custom design.
