Did your dog ever sleep all day long?
I'm a little worried about Scooby today. He is 9 months old and usually is very playful in the morning and then he does sleep in the afternoon for a few hours. This morning he ran around the house just a little and then he slept several hours. I woke him around 2, and I made sure he played and ran around a bit. He ate, drank and did his pee-pee. Then the next thing I knew he was hanging around his pillow and now he's asleep again.
I'm thinking if I call the vet he will tell me to take him over. I'm really not in the mood with this snow today.
Yesterday was a very busy day for him. He had a long walk in the morning and then we had lots of company and he played hard all afternoon. He did sleep very well last night. Is this anything to worry about? Am I wrong for not calling?

That's all my dog ever does. Except when he has to eat and go to the bathroom. He's playful at times, but very lazy!!

Baby sleeps a lot. I would not be concerned, especially beacause he ate his food.

It's funny that you mentioned the web cam. I was talking to my DH and joking said the same thing. I wonder what Roscoe does all day when we're not home. we both agree that He said Probably sleeps!

He is growing so that requires alot of sleep, some days Peanut sleeps all day also.

Thanks for all your reassurances. I was really worried. I was never able to move his pillow across the floor without him jumping up. If the weather were better for sure I would have been at the vet handing over 60 bucks to hear he was fine. LOL!
Mr. Lazy bones finally was up and running around by 6 last night. We kept him playing til 11 and this morning we played hard. He's asleep again. I guess he's more like my own children than I realized - as soon as I figured out their sleep patterns they were onto a new one.

It really sounds like she just had an exhausting day yesterday. My dog has done that after a lot of activity the day before! I would try not to worry too much unless it goes on for a few days!

my dog is just over a year and she sleeps all the time! she is up for about 2 hours in the morning and naps for the rest of the day until about 7pm when she gets a second wind and by 9:30 - 10, she is ready to sleep again for the night. I wouldn't worry too much, as long as he is acting normal otherwise
