Re: Need help on booking a Sandals resort
I am having the same problem. I did hear though that the Sandals in Bahamas does not have a lot of night life. After dinnertime it is a ghost town.

Re: Need help on booking a Sandals resort
Well I have only been to one, but I loved it so much that I am going back. Grande St. Lucian was awesome! However, I was not looking for night life. We were up early, at the pools and beach. We drank and swam all day, and went to bed by 11 each night.

Re: Need help on booking a Sandals resort
We are going to Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica. The resort is brand new, just opened on Feb 10th. It's already getting really good reviews.

Re: Need help on booking a Sandals resort
Check out www.tripadvisor.com
I have not been, but they get such mixed reviews, with the exception of the Grande St. Lucian...Whitehouse in Jamaica is also supposed to be outstanding. Good luck!
My TA Hayley from www.beachbumvacation.com specializes in Sandal's, you can shoot her email and ask her for help...she's awesome. Def tell her I sent you, she'll take care of you.
Best wishes!

I don't know if you're set on Sandals, but FH and I went to "secrets Excellence" and they are the same. (But, no night life either) Just a bar open till 2 am I think?

Re: Need help on booking a Sandals resort
we went to Halcyon in St. Lucia, and there was not much of a nightlife, but the other two resorts in St. Lucia seemed a lot more active. We were looking for somehting secluded and to ourselves....

Re: Need help on booking a Sandals resort
We have been to the Royal Bahamian a few years ago and really liked it a lot.
(for us on that vacation night life was meeting 2 other couples and haning in the pub they had on property)
FOr our honeymoon we went to the ROyal Plantation- its Bechs/ Sandals owned. Small property, excellent service, lovedit!
The crowd ws a bit older then a "Sandals" (maybe it was the week we were there Thanksgiving Week) but it was one of our best vacations. (I have pics on my communtiy album) WE would go back in a second

Re: Need help on booking a Sandals resort
we went to sandals negril a few years ago and had a great time. it's very small and good if you just want a relaxing vacation because there isn't much to do around there. the only negative was that it's so far away from the airport.

Re: Need help on booking a Sandals resort
I just booked our Honeymoon at the Sandals Grande Ocho Rios. My travel agent suggested it to us because we want something relaxing. The Grande Ocho Rios recently had a grand re-opening because they merged two sandals properties together to make the Grande ocho rios a bigger resort. My cousins went to Sandals Mantego Bay and said that the resort in right on the airport runway so you will always hear and see the airplanes.

DH and I stayed at St. Lucia Grande and the Sandals in Antigua and like the one in St. Lucia much better. The hotel is much newer, has more bars, more pools, the beach is private. And don't forget in St. Lucia you can go to the other 2 Sandals resorts.
