Re: Thank You Card Etiquette

this is a tough question...If you are using picture thank you's from your photographer, it all depends on when you receive them. I have heard of bride's waiting 6-7 months after the wedding to send thank yous...On a personal note, I want to get them done as soon as I can

Re: Thank You Card Etiquette

I went to a wedding in July 2004 and never got a thank you. Oh well. I would say as soon as possible, but more than 3 months is rude. For e-presents I have been sending thank yous that week.

Re: Thank You Card Etiquette

I am sure that after the honeymon is over and everyone is back to their regular daily grind, that it can be difficult to fit in time to do things such as writing thank you's. But to be honest, When you are sitting and watching TV before bed or waiting for dinner to be done, it shouldn't be that hard to fit a few in.

Assuming that a good portion of wedding guests give cash, the typical "Thank you for sharing this most special day with us and for your generous gift." should take less than 30 seconds to jot down on paper.

I was raised in a home where my mom would FORCE me to write thank you notes for EVERYTHING as soon as possible. It is a great habit to get into and an even better one to pass on to children I get thank you notes from my neices and nephews for the cutest things.

Any more than 3 months, in my book, is rude.
