I thought it was o.k....maybe because I'm not a big fan of Cynthia Nixon, but I thought her physical acting on ER was good, but I couldn't stand her voice overs.

that is the thing with a stroke, it can happen to anyone. It's a scary thought, I even told my dh to give the consent if something ever happened like that. I wouldn't want to live like a vegetable and put that suffering on my family.

For those of you who are saying that they wouldn't want to live like that--are you saying that you would actually be aware that your family was: "pulling the plug" so to speak?

She knew what was going on, she could hear and see, but the right side was paralyzed, but she couldn't speak.

they did a procedure on her and she came throught fine, she wasn't paralized anymore and she could talk again just like before.

If the procedure didn't go right, she could have stayed the same, gone into a coma or died. Her husband wasn't sure if he should have them do the procedure. So if he said no, she would have been like that I think her whole life.
